Kalalau Enterprises was formed in 2000 by Michelle and Phil Heinz. Michelle is a graphics designer with extensive experience in website design, development and user interface experience. Phil has been developing data-driven applications for over 30 years. Their clients have included NASA and the Department of Defense, along with corporations, governments and educational institutions worldwide.
Our team has been involved in some very exciting projects from children’s games and learning tools to alarm, monitoring and control systems for large luxury yachts. We’ve even written prototypes for vehicle monitors and tuners used in NHRA racing! Kalalau Enterprises is currently a certified Meteor partner. Kalalau Enterprises has contracted to Macromedia/Adobe in many capacities including QA, coding, documentation and Developer Center articles in Flash Data Integration.
In 2016, Kalalau became a real "mobile" design and development company...meaning we are actually pretty mobile! We currently work remotely from our RV and travel the country, although our home base is Texas. Technology has finally reached a point where it is not necessary to be tied down to an office. We have all the tools we need to make our clients successful in their web and software application business. To see our mobile office, please check us out at heinzsitemobile.com.
Our philosophy is simply this:

We are dedicated to the success of our clients through technology solutions and enjoy becoming a part of their team.
We collaborate with our clients by listening, analyzing their goals and environment, and offering solutions to implement their ideas.
We strive for excellence in quality in whatever we do. We believe in delivering beyond our client's expectations.

If you've never heard of Kalalau, you're not alone. It's located on the island of Kauai and is completely isolated from the rest of the island by the cliffs of the Na Pali Coast.
The only ways to reach Kalalau are an arduous 11-mile hike or hours of ocean kayaking. Permits for either method must be acquired from the State of Hawaii up to a year in advance.
99.9% of the tourists who see Kalalau are on a boat or helicopter tour of the Na Pali Coast. They are forbidden by law to land. Only a very few lucky travelers ever actually get to set foot on Kalalau Beach and explore Kalalau Valley.
We have journeyed to Kalalau multiple times by hiking and kayaking the coast. Kalalau is a magical place that has made a wonderful and lasting impression on us.
